High-end wines and Lowcountry cuisine come together this spring for the 27th annual Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival. The festival will run Monday, March 5 through Saturday, March 10, 2012, with activities at various locations across Hilton Head Island, S.C.

A number of Great Chefs of the South Wine Dinners will be held from March 5-9 at diverse venues across Hilton Head Island. Ticket prices for the dinners range from $55 to $125 per person. The six-day festival culminates in the Wine & Food Fest on Saturday, March 10 at Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. A Public Tasting and Silent Auction will take place from noon to 3:00 p.m. with a $45 admission fee that includes a souvenir wine glass and access to all of the free tastings from domestic and international wineries, vineyards and wine distributors. Saturday’s weighty roster of events also features an Outdoor Gourmet cooking demonstration, a Culinary Court showcasing local restaurant fare, and the lively Bartender’s Challenge and Waiter’s Race competitions. The Coastal Discovery Museum is located near the north end of Hilton Head Island at 70 Honey Horn Drive, off Business 278/William Hilton Pkwy.
